When the Wall Street Journal’s James Taranto weighed in on the sexual assault crisis in the military, he said it was a “war on men” and was the start of an “effort to criminalize male sexuality.”

Because when James Taranto learns about 26,000 sexual assault victims, he hears “war on men.”

fuck you

I mean yes if men are going to imply that rape is part of their sexuality, we’re crazy at war. Their heads on a spike to set an example tbh.

Men continue to time and time again confuse rape and sex. But don’t worry they know the difference between BDSM and abuse, get your safewords out everybody!

WOW HE ACTUALLY SAID RAPE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT IS MALE SEXUALITY

I’m scared that it’s true.

This frightens me for one of two reasons:

1) Men outnumber women in the military. We are only 20% of the entire Armed Forces combined.

2) Men in the military might actually start believing this and taking it to heart and undo all the progress I thought we were making with SAPR last week.

I suddenly feel very unsafe in my environment if I suspect men in my workplace will start believing this.

i’m not even surprised.

Sadly, on this day (26 April) 1970 the world lost the legend that was Gypsy Rose LeeGypsy Rose Lee (Louise Hovick): vintage 8x10 photo with print signature of Louise Hovick. Between 1937-38 Gypsy went to Hollywood and appeared in five films under her given name Louise Hovick. There are 2 stories as to why she was credited under her real name:1. It has been said that the film industry wantedto distance her from her striptease past, and hence used her real name…perhaps in an effort to sneak her past the censors or the day.2. It has also been said that Gypsy insisted on being credited under her real name, because she was not happy with the quality of the roles she was given and she did not want to tarnish her famous stage name by associating it with mediocre films. As with most things in Gypsy’s life, it will probably never be known for certain which is true. She had the gift of ‘spinning a yarn’ and being factual was never her strong suit, but perhaps that is part of what makes her so iconic?
